18 years ago my husband and I received wonderful service of white tableware as a wedding gift.
But in recent years, the plates in this service have started to show serious signs of wear.
It's normal, after all:18 years of use must leave some traces.
So how do you give a second life to striped plates?
The trick is to use the miracle product, Bar Keeper's Friend, to make the scratches disappear:
Contents
1. I applied the liquid product to my plates with a damp sponge.
2. Then, I simply rubbed.
3. For more pronounced scratches, I rubbed a little harder.
Lo and behold, those nasty marks on my plates are gone.
To remove the scratches, I tried Cif, but it didn't work. I even tried baking soda. But this is one of the few times this product was not helpful.
That's when a friend from Quebec told me about this miracle product, Bar Keeper's Friend.
Fortunately, it can also be found in France in cream. I'm really happy with the result.
At €6.09 a bottle, it's a reasonable investment to give my plates a second life.
In addition, the product also works for pots, pans, the bathroom, and even porcelain.
If you plan to clean an entire department, consider putting on a pair of rubber gloves before you start to protect your hands.
Remember to test the product on a small, inconspicuous area.
