Did you get a perfume stain on your shirt or T-shirt?
Perfumes contain alcohol, dyes and oils that leave a yellowish mark on clothes...
And it's super hard to get rid of if you don't know the right trick, especially on white!
Luckily, here's an effective grandmother's trick for removing a perfume stain from a white shirt without leaving halos.
Simply soak the stain with sparkling water and washing-up liquid . Watch:
- sparkling water or cold water
- dishwashing liquid
- white vinegar
1. Soak the back of the stain with sparkling water (or cold water).
2. Rub a few drops of dish soap on the front and back of the stain.
3. Leave on for 10 minutes,
4. Rinse the area with cold water.
5. Next, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with a few drops of dishwashing liquid in 1 liter of water.
6. Soak the stain in this solution for about 15 minutes.
7. Rinse the area with clean water.
And There you go ! The perfume stain on your garment is now completely gone :-)

Never try to remove a perfume stain with soap.
Why ? Because it fixes the stain rather than removing it.
Always apply your perfume as a mist, not by spraying it directly on your clothes.
Or use perfume before getting dressed and let the perfume evaporate completely before putting on your clothes to avoid stains.
Carbonated water is known to be a gentle stain remover that fights halos without attacking or discoloring fabrics.
The dishwashing liquid will degrease the edges of the stain. It will also remove traces of dyes contained by the perfume.
By soaking the fabric in vinegar water, the fabric regains its initial color, it is degreased and sanitized.
If the perfume stain is dry or old, there is another simple and effective trick.
Do a small test by passing a little alcohol at 70° on a hidden area of the garment.
If there is no reaction or discoloration, it is safe.
Then moisten a cotton ball with alcohol and dab the back of the stain. Rinse well with clean water afterwards.
If the fabric is white and there are still yellowish traces, apply a little 3% hydrogen peroxide, then rinse the area well a second time.
