Fortunately, there is a simple trick to properly clean your cutting board.
The trick is to rub it with a baking soda paste . Watch:

1. Soak a clean sponge in white vinegar.
2. Rub the board with it.
3. Grab a bowl.
4. Put two tablespoons of baking soda in it.
5. Add a tablespoon of warm water.
6. Form a paste (adjust quantities as needed).
7. Using a sponge, vigorously rub the board with this paste.
8. Rinse with cold water.
And There you go ! Your cutting board is all clean and like new :-)
No more nest of germs! No need to sand it!
The vinegar disinfects the board and the gritty paste removes deep down the impurities that have settled in the grooves.
This trick works just as well for maintaining a plastic board as it does a wooden one.
