Your guests are arriving in 1 hour, but it's a mess in your House ?
Or simply, you want to clean everything quickly without spending 3 hours?
Don't worry, here is the guide that will save your life!
With this practical guide, you will find a clean house in 1 hour . Watch:
When I was still in college, I worked for several summers as a housekeeper, to supplement my income.
Thanks to this experience, I learned some great tricks to speed up cleaning.
And today, I can tell you. YES, it is absolutely possible to clean an ENTIRE average-sized house in less than 1 hour!
Obviously, this takes work and concentration.
You are not allowed to leaf through the magazines you are putting away...
Or spending time looking at Facebook on your phone.
So, follow this guide WITHOUT pausing.
And you, too, will have a sparkling clean home in no time. Here we go!
No matter what room you're cleaning, always start cleaning from the top down .
Why ? This way, dirt and dust will naturally fall on lower surfaces. And you will clean them afterwards.
Start by cleaning the dust off your wall shelves. If you have a ceiling fan, this is also the time to do so.
Next, dust the furniture and other furnishings.
And voluntarily let dust and dirt fall on the floor.
It is only in the last step that you will clean the floors.
And so you can remove all the dirt and dust at once .
- Take the sheets off the bed and put on clean sheets .
To avoid bending your back when changing the fitted sheet, lift the corner of the mattress with one hand.
And insert the corners of the fitted sheet with each other.
- Put away all the objects that are messy. Are you really in a hurry? So put all these items in a small basket or plastic box.
Then put them out of sight in a closet to store them at another time.
- Wipe the furniture with a microfiber cloth and anti-dust spray, always working from top to bottom.
- If you have several bathrooms or toilets at home, it's more efficient to clean them all at once .
First take a quick tour of all the bathrooms and toilets. Then start by clearing all flat surfaces.
Then spray surfaces and showers/tubs with a homemade cleaner like this.
Leave on while you clean the toilet.
- Return to each bathroom and toilet to wipe down surfaces. Then rinse the showers/bathtubs and clean the mirrors.
- To save time, clean your bathroom floors at the same time as your kitchen.
- Put away all items first untidy in cupboards and shelves.
- Starting from one corner of the room, go around the room. Then remove the dust from the surfaces, always working from top to bottom.
If you have blinds or ceiling fans, clean them first.
- Use the brush (the one with soft bristles) of your vacuum cleaner to vacuum. Then clean sofas, armchairs and any other fabric-covered furniture.
- As a final step, vacuum the living room, dining room, and all carpeted and rug-covered surfaces in the house.
- Put all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and fill the sink with hot, soapy water.
If your gas stove grates also need cleaning, soak them in hot, soapy water.
- Store messy items on countertops.
- Dip a sponge in the sink and wring it out to remove excess soapy water.
With the sponge, wipe wall furniture, worktops and any other surface, always working from top to bottom .
During this cleaning, rinse the sponge in the sink from time to time. You'll be amazed at the amount of dirt that comes out!
- Wipe your appliances such as the oven and microwave with a sponge to remove fingerprints.
- Clean your gas stove grates in the sink and put them back in place.
- As a final step, clean the kitchen floor, as well as all hard surfaces (floor, linoleum, etc.) in the house.

- When vacuuming, start from the back of the room and work backwards .
This way you can go faster and avoid going over the same surfaces twice.
By the way, if you are looking for a good vacuum cleaner, I have been using this vacuum cleaner for 3 years.
And I can tell you it's the best I've ever had.
I highly recommend it if you have pets. Because it's just perfect for removing hair!
- Do not sweep hard floors such as parquet. Instead, use the vacuum cleaner with the brush suitable for hard floors.
It's the best way to clean the corners of rooms, where dust and pet hair tend to accumulate.
This avoids lifting the dust into the air before it falls to the ground.
- A final recommendation?
There are also steam cleaners. They can actually help you clean your hardwood floors faster than a traditional mop.
