The cutting board is an indispensable accessory in the kitchen.
Especially if you eat vegetables regularly.
But are you in the habit of cleaning it thoroughly regularly?
I thought dishwashing liquid and water would work, but found out it didn't.
When I put my wooden cutting board on a very hot pan, this is what happened.
You can see how abused my cutting board is. I'm ashamed!

Luckily, I discovered a method to thoroughly clean my wooden cutting board. Watch:
- 1 lemon
- Pure coarse salt
1. Start by cutting the lemon in half. Use half a lemon for each side of the plank.
2. Rub the cutting board with half the lemon, pulp side down. Then save the lemon.
3. Then cover the cutting board with pure coarse salt and leave to rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Choose the least refined, grainiest coarse salt possible.
4. Take the half lemon used and rub it on the salt. If it has started to dry out, squeeze some remaining juice into the lemon.
5. Go on and rinse with water only (no soap) and pat dry.
And There you go ! Your wooden cutting board is now polished :-)
It's a great way to sanitize and thoroughly clean your wooden cutting board.
Why ? Because lemon is known to be a good natural disinfectant.
And in addition, it is economical and without harmful products.
