I am showing you today how I made a tank of water for my potted plants.
And all that with just an empty plastic bottle and a knife. Nothing simpler!
It's true that I was tired of finding my plants all flagada when I returned from a long weekend or from my holidays.
Now no more watering problems thanks to this water reservoir for my flower boxes.
Here's how to make your homemade irrigation system in 2 minutes with 1 simple plastic bottle . Watch:

1. Take the knife.
2. Place the bottle on a stable, hard surface.
3. Cut the bottom of the bottle to the height of the flowerpot.
4. Turn the bottle over, neck down.
5. Bury it in the middle of the flower pot so that only the cut bottom protrudes.
6. Plant the flowers all around the bottle in the pot.
And There you go ! You made a DIY water tank for your flowers :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
Just fill the bottle with water. The water will diffuse as soon as the earth needs it through the neck.
And as the bottleneck is at the level of the roots of the plants:they will never be thirsty.
Even on hot days, your plants have a water supply.
Put the bottle well at the same time as you plant the flowers around it. Why?
Because by pushing the bottle into a pot already full of flowers, you could damage the roots and thus kill the plants.
This trick works for green plants, indoor or outdoor plants.
The bottle, planted in the ground, will let the water pass through the neck.
The drier the soil, the more water it will suck up, which will diffuse gently without drowning the roots.
It is important for the growth of plants that will never lack water even in summer.
With this trick, water savings are real.
Because you only put the necessary water in the bottle and no more than the plants need.
On hot days, the bottle will run out. But the rest of the time there will be water left for the following days.
Indeed, the earth draws only what it needs to stay moist.
Your plants are always optimally watered without wasting water.
The bigger the pot, the more it is recommended to put a large bottle:at least 1.5 liters.
