Additional advice

- To make the holes in the bottle, you can use a hot barbecue skewer, a soldering iron or a sharp pair of scissors. In any case, be careful not to hurt yourself.

- The holes in the bottle should be large enough to let flies in, but small enough that they cannot easily come out.

- You can put any type of meat in the bottle as long as it is raw:chicken, pork, beef...

- To make it even more effective, don't hesitate to make several fly traps. We use 4 plastic bottles to be quiet when we eat in the garden.

Why does it work?

Flies are attracted to the bottle by the smell of raw meat.

They go into the bottle through the little holes, but they can't come out.

The flies end up drowning in the water trying to reach the meat.
