Wine Cork Varsity Letter Step 1, Paint Letter
In order for the cut parts of cork to create a seamless look, the wooden letters must first be painted black so that there is a shadow effect between each cork. Apply black acrylic paint to each letter with a small detail brush. Let dry for at least three hours.

Wine Cork Varsity Letter Step 2, Using an exact knife, cut the corks.
The key to creating a random but balanced look in the letters is to cut each cork into different widths and sizes. Use a heavy-duty knife to cut each cork into wedges, cylinders, and triangles.

Wine Cork Varsity Letter Step 3, glue pieces of cork over painted letters
Similar to putting together a puzzle, attach each piece of cork to the face of the letter. After placing all the pieces and completely covering the black painted face of the letter, attach it with hot glue.
