How to Make a Glam Thumbtack Pumpkin

Introduction

Get the kids involved with this no-glam pumpkin idea. All you need are thumbtacks, a printable pattern, or a pen.

Step 1

Draw desired pattern

Draw the desired pattern on the pumpkin with a pen, or glue a printable pattern to the pumpkin.

Step 2

Insert pushpins

Drill holes over the pen or pattern marks with a small screwdriver if using rivets, making sure they are close enough so that the rivets overlap slightly. Insert thumbtacks or rivets. If you're making a spider web pattern, start with a cross (Image 1), followed by an X (Image 2), then finish the rest of the pattern (Image 3).
