Indeed, the height of this bed simply insulates you from the humidity and cold of the ground, especially if you sleep under the stars in the mountains or in a forest.
Its only drawback is its sometimes very tough folding and unfolding, especially for the old steel models. Must say that I inherited the old picot bed from my grandfather. Also, I don't find their canvas very comfortable. I do not recommend it for people prone to back pain. And if you are more used to sleeping in an oversize bed, go your way, the camp bed is not for you.
The third solution I propose to solve the occasional sleeping problem is the sofa bed. I'm even seriously considering buying one since my old sofa is getting old and I need to replace it soon. This piece of furniture for me has many advantages. First of all, there is its dual use:sofa during the day and bed in the evening.
But my interest in the daybed is, above all, the space saving that can be achieved with it, because this furniture does not require too much space. However, many criteria will have to be taken into account when selecting it. Indeed, as you make your guests sleep there, the convertible sofa must be equipped with a comfortable mattress. Otherwise, for ease of handling, choose models equipped with automatic openings.
