Economical and 100% natural, lemon, white vinegar or baking soda, to name just these three products, prove to be invaluable allies for hunting down limescale in the bathroom. Whatever the hardness of the water, walls, bathtubs, washbasins or taps are the first victims of limestone.
The white vinegar always present in the kitchen can work a miracle in the bathroom:it acts effectively against limescale on shower walls and taps. To prepare the spray, just put white vinegar in a spray bottle.
You can recover it provided that it has not previously contained a toxic or special product, otherwise, if you do not have any at all in the house, it is quite possible to buy it by preferring a container glass that is easy to clean and preserves the products well. The spraying of white vinegar is done on all the parts where there is limestone; leave to act for 5 minutes and pass a soft, clean cloth to wipe off the stains.
Just as effective on traces of limescale, this recipe is easy to make. For this, we need a bucket of hot water, pour 1 glass of white vinegar into it and add half a glass of baking soda. Be careful, during the addition of the ingredients, there is a slight reaction of the products. To apply the mixture, we use a clean sponge and we pass it on the walls, the bathtub and the taps. Let it act for a few minutes then rinse.
To compose the dough, mix 200 g of baking soda with 4 tbsp of water. We apply the paste on the limestone and let it operate for a few moments, then we go to rinsing. If the traces of limestone are stubborn, spray a little white vinegar then rub with a used toothbrush or a sponge. We always finish with a rinse.
In addition to acting on limescale, lemon brings a good smell to the bathroom. Lemons that have already been used can be recovered to remain economical, otherwise they are used fresh.
The method is always the same, we rub the part with the pulp on the taps and surfaces, let it act for a few moments and then clean with a clean cloth.
For this composition, you need 30 drops of essential oil of lemon, 5 drops of essential oil of peppermint which is mixed with 2 tbsp of baking soda and a glass of white vinegar. For the mixture to take effect, apply it with a sponge on the parts where there is limescale and wait a few minutes before rinsing.
Natural cleaning products can only be beneficial in a home, there are no bad consequences on the health of the inhabitants and we are also doing something for the planet. However, be careful when using essential oils for children and pregnant women.
