Yesterday I hosted a mini conference on compost, it's the season. It was during an Occitan café. The different types of waste were noted in Occitan, for the participants to read and translate…and to find out if the waste was green or brown. The idea has much more and the participation was active. An idea to take back for a good exchange.
In response to a question on Facebook:how do you say compost in Occitan? The word Occitan, derived from Latin as in French, looks like two drops of water in French but is spelled a bit differently:
compost (the first "o" is pronounced "ou", the second, carrying the accent is pronounced "o") another word is used:gapan.
