Does the inside of your water bottle smell bad?
Musty odors are normal, especially if you don't use it often.
But they are not easy to make disappear!
Fortunately, there is an effective trick to remove odors.
The trick is to use baking soda to easily clean the water bottle:
1. Fill the bottle with 1/3 of water.
2. Add a teaspoon of baking soda.
3. Close and shake the bottle well in all directions for 5 min.
4. Now fill the water bottle completely with water.
5. Close it and place the gourd in a cool, dark place for 2 days.
6. Empty the water bottle.
7. Rinse it at least 3 times with water.
8. Leave to dry in the shade.
There you go, the bad smells of the water bottle are gone :-)

It works just as well with a plastic water bottle (a bicycle bottle for example), a Sistema water bottle, an aluminum water bottle or a metal container, a plastic, glass or aluminum bottle.

And it is just as effective for eliminating the plastic taste of a flask, a camelbak, for cleaning a jerry can of water, a plastic barrel, a can, a wine cubi or to remove bad odors from a thermos, a Sodastream bottle or a Tupperware container.
Just adjust the amounts of baking soda.
Another good news, bicarbonate has an antifungal action. It therefore eliminates the mold in your water bottle.
