Want a sweet smell of citrus fruits and vanilla? Here's an unstoppable trick that lasts.
a. Heat some water in a saucepan.
b. Add 1/2 sachet of vanilla sugar or a few drops of vanilla essence. If you don't have one, you can find some here.
c. Add a few slices of lemon and, if desired, a little rosemary.
d. Simmer all day if possible, adding water when it evaporates too much.
e. This mixture gives a good smell in the house for 48 hours.
In the citrus series, you may prefer orange. In this case, nothing better than making yourself an orange candle.
Cut your orange without damaging the flesh, as in the video below.
Pour olive oil into the orange, turn on the white wire.

The gel is ideal because it lasts a long time and you can put the essential oil of your choice there too.
a. Heat 1/2 liter of water.
b. Melt 1 sheet of wrung out gelatin in hot water.
c. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and mix well.
d. Pour this mixture into small containers and add a few drops of essential oil of your choice.
e. When the gel cools, it deodorizes the whole house.
The spray is practical. We put the scent we want.
And we always have it at hand for a little "pschitt" when we want.
Boil 1/2 liter of water, add 4 tablespoons of dry basil.
And leave to infuse for 5 to 6 minutes, filter the pieces of basil.
Pour your basil scented water into your very clean spray.

c. Add leaves and spices of your choice (cinnamon for example) and, if you wish, orange or lemon peel.
d. Mix everything in an airtight box and close it.
e. Leave to dry for about 2 weeks, protected from light. Shake the box occasionally.
f. After 2 weeks, you can add an iris powder-type fixative if you wish (you can find it here). Then, place your mixture in a large or several small cups.
The "good smelling sticks" style is in fashion. You have noticed, we see them everywhere. Why not make your own? It's easy and much cheaper than buying them.
In pretty little vases or jars, pour several drops of different essential oils of your choice.
Add baby oil to the top. Dip into the containers of the wooden skewers.
After 1 hour, flip the skewers the other way. When the smell subsides, simply turn the skewers over again.
This trick is great for the kitchen and/or rooms that you can't ventilate much.
