You still think vinegar is only for salad dressing?
Then you will be surprised!
Vinegar is the essential ally in a home.
For cleaning, it has no equal.
But there are also plenty of other super practical everyday uses.
From cleaning shower tiles to catching bugs, here are 10 uses for vinegar that will make your life easier:
To unclog a drain, pour 1/2 cup of baking soda directly down the drain. Then, throw in 1 cup of white vinegar.
It will cause a chemical reaction and foam a lot. When it no longer foams, run very hot water down the drain. About 5 minutes later, rinse with cold water.
This approach is effective, non-toxic, and less damaging to your pipes (and your wallet!) than commercial drain openers. Promised, swore, spat ! Check out the trick here.
Create an earth-friendly bug trap by filling a closed container with a cup of apple cider vinegar. Add small slices of banana peel and 1 cup of cold water, then shake.
Drill holes in the top. Place the trap on the ground or hang it with string in a part of your garden.
This trap will catch quite a few critters in a short time. Discard the trap and replace it with a new one when it is too full.
Your dishwasher washes all your dishes. But who washes him?
It's very easy. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher, and run an empty cycle. Do this once a month.

You can do a quick and cheap test to test your soil. You will then know if there is an excess of alkalinity in your soil.
Put some soil in a container and pour about a 1/2 cup of white vinegar over it.
If it foams or bubbles, the soil is too alkaline. Just add peat or sulfur to make your soil more pH neutral.
