Looking to easily store your scarves? With a little recycled material:hanger, wooden curtain rings and ribbon scraps, I make an original scarf rack in 15 min!
- 1 wooden hanger
- 16 wooden curtain rings of the same diameter
- ribbon scraps
- pearl cotton
1. Tie all your rings 2 by 2 with pearl cotton. Make a few turns of thread around the rings then simply a double knot very tight and very close to the rings to hold them firmly.
Pearl cotton is a solid thread that allows you to make a fine and resistant knot without damaging your scarves or rings. It can be bought at a haberdashery, presented in skeins (short length of 25 m) or in balls (for regular users).
2. Tie together 2 pairs of rings to obtain 4 rings tied side by side .
3. Tie the rows of rings one under the other.
4. Your 16 rings thus assembled, attach everything to the bar of the hanger in the same way as you assembled the rings between them.
Add 4 small bows with a colored ribbon on the top of the 4 rings assembled on the hanger to give a little colorful touch.
Your scarf rack is ready to hold your scarves:simply pass them through the rings and hang your hanger on the bar of your closet or, since this color variation is pretty, drive a nail inside your closet door and hang your scarf rack there, prominently.
To achieve thisquick, easy achievement and make it more economic , consider antiquing your equipment or recovering it from your old decor! Have you decided to make this scarf rack? Leave me your impressions in the comments!
