If like me you are not an organization specialist and storing...
No more wondering where to put everything:your keys, your wallet, your mail on hold, etc. The solution?
A new kind of corner storage compartment!
I recently acquired two classic wooden magazine racks (example on the link) and it is one of them that will serve as the basis for our project.
It is true that an old plate can fulfill the function of an empty pocket without any problem, but an old plate is unsightly and in my small hallway I have no piece of furniture on which to put it.
My trick allows me to get rid of my old plate as much as to have a place to put it... I'm a little attached to my old plate.
You got it, the centerpiece of my trick is the wooden magazine rack , I then needed:paint or varnish (optional), 3 screws, 3 washers, 3 suitable dowels, a pencil and something to drill holes in your wall and in the magazine rack.
It is in horizontal position that the magazine rack will serve us, fixed in the corner of a wall it will therefore offer discreet storage (the place where we normally store magazines), as well as an upper surface on which we can put our old plate for example.
At first I start by choosing to varnish, paint or leave my magazine rack raw.
I pre-drill 3 screw holes in the bottom of my magazine rack:2 in the most accessible wall, 1 in the other.
I mark the location of the screws on the walls by positioning well horizontally our future pocket. I drill the wall and place my dowels.
Just screw the storage compartment to fix it to the wall using the washers so that the screws do not damage the wood.
That's how I gave my little hallway a brand new storage where I can get rid of my mail, my keys and the rest. Little extra tip, I plan to hide my internet box there by passing the wires through the existing hole. Any ideas to make our catch-all storage compartment even more practical, or more aesthetic? Tell me in a comment.
