Want to buy yourself a coat rack?
First look at this trick to make yourself an original and really cheap DIY coat rack.
Did you know that with champagne or wine corks you can make yourself a really nice coat rack?
Before getting out your tools, know that this little trick does not require you to be a DIY pro, but you still need to be a little handyman.
Here is a tutorial that will allow you to quickly make this coat rack in less than 30 minutes.
1. Start by collecting champagne corks, or wine corks, that will do the trick too.
When you have one for each member of the family, you can start tinkering.
2. Take a plank of wood, 2 medium-sized screws, a dowel suitable for the size of the screw, a champagne cork as well as a ruler and a pencil. And a drill of course.
3. Make a cross with your ruler and pencil to find the center of the board.
4. Drill a hole in the cap on the side that was inside the bottle and attach the dowel inside.
5. Pierce the board with the screw through the back of the board so that the tip of the screw comes out the front and attach the plug to the tip of the screw. And voila.
6. All you have to do is attach the board to the wall. For this, normally, you know how to do it, but we have a little trick for you. Look!
And there you have it, you have a great coat rack that didn't cost you anything :-)
And for you, here are 2 other examples of coat racks made with champagne or wine corks, which we found really cool.
The first is very simple, but very decorative, with its champagne corks and its light gray painted board.
The second is more childish with drawings and wine bottle corks.
If you want an alternative to corks, here we show you how to make a coat rack out of a broken umbrella. Ah recuperation, when you hold us!
