Want to save electricity?
And finally lower your electricity bills!
An effective idea to control your electricity consumption and therefore your electricity bills is to invest in a wattmeter.
A wattmeter is a device that measures the electricity consumption of your home and monitors it in real time.
1. Get a power meter.
2. Plug it into the wall outlet.
3. Connect your electrical device to the power meter.
There you go, you know the consumption of each electrical appliance :-)
Simple, practical and effective.
Thus you will follow the evolution of your consumption according to the devices which are connected.
This energy meter is very useful to understand why your electricity bills can explode your budget.
You can then take the necessary measures to reduce your electricity consumption.
How to use it to lower the amount of your bill at the end of the month?
Installation is a breeze, just plug the power meter into your wall outlet. And the device whose consumption you want to measure you connect it to the power meter.
You can thus measure the consumption of each device and identify those that consume the most.
You will find that some devices, even when switched off, consume electricity, such as stereos with standby mode.
To avoid paying for nothing, plug these devices into a multiple socket with an orange switch. And switch off the socket whenever you are not using these devices.
Some appliances have a variable consumption such as a fridge or a laptop.
With our wattmeter we discovered that a laptop PC consumes about 2 watts off if the battery is charged, 10 watts in standby mode and 40 watts on. On the other hand, when it is charging, your laptop can consume 35 watts off!
