Over time, the stopper of the sink, sink or the bathtub is less and less watertight.
As a result, even if you close the drain, the water still flows and empties...
But you don't need to buy a new drain!
Luckily, my plumber revealed to me his simple and effective trick to get your plug back to full tightness.
All you need is white vinegar to remove limescale from the joint. Watch:

For the drain to be perfectly watertight, adjust the screw located at the bottom of the element. By tightening the screw, the plug will close better, and vice versa. Say goodbye to the sink that empties in less time than it takes to say.
If the drain closes well, but water still flows out, check the soft seal around it. It is surely scaled up and letting water through. To descale it, soak it in a mixture of equal parts hot water and white vinegar.
The metal part must also be descaled and cleaned. To do this, scrape it with a scouring pad soaked in pure white vinegar. You will remove the limestone deposits that prevent it from playing its role.
If that's not enough, pass a knife blade between the sink and the metal part to remove the dirt underneath. Be careful not to slip with the knife.
And There you go ! Your cork is perfectly sealed again :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
No more sink that does not hold water or the closed bathtub that empties!
This trick obviously works for the sink, the sink and the bathtub.
And if the sink overflow is clogged and dirty, use this trick here.
