You will need cardboard, a ruler and a craft knife to easily make these drawer dividers.
First, measure the length of your drawer and transfer these measurements to a piece of cardboard by drawing lines.
These lines will allow you to cut the boxes to the correct dimensions.
You will create 2 sets of dividers:one for the length and one for the width of the drawer.
Then on each divider, make slits about 10 cm high at regular intervals.
Using the slits as a guide, assemble the cardboard strips. And put them in your drawer.
And that's it, you've finished your drawer divider.
Fill your old boxes with items you no longer want. Then drop them off at the Secours Populaire or at Emmaüs. Please note that Emmaus can also come and collect items and boxes from your home. Just contact them and make an appointment.
Your children will love participating in this little craft. And they'll be delighted to watch the birds enjoying their homemade feeder.
You must first cut out pieces of cardboard in the shape you want, for example a heart.
Then make small holes to slip a string or rope through. Spread peanut butter on both sides of your piece of cardboard.
Spread the seeds out on a plate and put your peanut butter covered piece of cardboard inside. The seeds will stick to the cardboard. Hang it in a tree. And that's all ! You can also make a feeder out of a roll of toilet paper. Check out the trick here.
It's much more fun than using a paper plate and it allows you to recycle old cardboard.
Cut the cardboard into circles or squares. Then cover it with decorative tape.
Put pieces of cardboard under the legs of your furniture before moving it. This will prevent scratches on the floor.
Thread an old T-shirt over a cardboard box, so the neck opening lines up with the box opening.
Tuck the sleeves inside, against the box. The sides will be sharper. Then show your cat his new comfortable doghouse. Check out the trick here. And while you're at it, you can also make him a cardboard toy that your cat will love. Check out the trick here.
I don't know how it is in your house... but my children love to play with the cardboard boxes. Make it a foldable play space for easy storage. The pleasure of playing will last even longer like this.
You need 2 cardboard boxes, masking tape and a cutter to make this little cardboard house.
1. Prevent the flaps of a large cardboard box from folding over by putting tape on it. Put tape inside and outside the box. This part will be used to make the floor of the hut.
2. Next, cut off one of the longer sides of the box. That's where we'll put the roof. Save the cardboard you just cut. You will need it to make the roof.
3. Take another large box. Use the piece of cardboard you just removed as a guide. Measure and cut a second piece of roof from the new box.
Tape the 2 roof pieces together and attach them to the frame of your cabin (the first box).
5. To make the hut easy to fold, cut the back of the box, the bottom and the bottom edge, according to the dotted lines below.
6. Lay the box flat on the floor and securely attach the vertical cutouts you just made to the back and bottom. Do not glue the horizontal bottom edge, otherwise the box will not fold properly.
Open the hut up to stand it up and reinforce the inside (back and bottom only) with duct tape.
It may be necessary to add a few pieces of tape to keep the tree house upright. And that's it!
Now let your children's imagination do its job.
