Growing up, I had fond memories of creating and designing things for my room out of shrink wrap. I was excited to discover it again a few years ago while exploring my local craft store. My kids and I have had so much fun creating back to school name tags for kids' backpacks, and I was able to relive a bit of my childhood.

Start by tracing the shape of the label with a pencil on the shrink film.
Remember that once baked, the final product will be half the original size.

Cut the shape of the label with the scissors of your choice.

Use your hole punch to create a hole. Then extend the hole with the punch to double the size of the hole to accommodate the smaller size once baked.

Decorate your label with permanent markers.

Once decorated, place the name tags on a baking sheet and bake the name tags according to the directions on the shrink film packaging.

Once cool, cut a piece of leather cord about 8 inches long. Fold in half. Push the loop through the hole at the top of the name tag.

Push the cord tails through the loop and pull tight. The name tags are ready to use.

Attach the name tag to the backpack, and you're all set!
