Dulce de leche is heated with milk until reduced to a caramelized syrup, and it's delicious. And instead of mixing it with dark chocolate, we're going to let the flavor shine by combining it with white chocolate.
Pour condensed milk into a 3-qt. heatproof container. Cover the container with plastic. Make a few holes with the tip of a knife to release the steam. Microwave at medium-high temperature for 2 minutes. Carefully remove the plastic wrap and whisk the salt into the sweetened condensed milk. Recover the bowl and microwave for another two minutes. Whisk in milk mixture and recover with plastic wrap. Repeat this step one more time or until the mixture is a light brown caramel color. Let the dulce de leche cool down. Add ½ teaspoon of salt to the dulce de leche.
Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
Mix the dulce de leche in melted white chocolate..
Pour the mixture into the ice cube tray or a square silicone mold.
Insert a spoon in each square. Let harden in the fridge for an hour. Unmold carefully.
