Native to Africa and South America, Strelitzia, Gloriosa and Anthurium radiate an infectious summer mood at any time of the year in our latitudes. The unusual flower shapes of the exotic plants resemble graphic works of art and, individually or in unusual bouquets, set contrasting color accents in your own home – including an airy, light summer feeling.
While the flowers of the spectacular Gloriosa in expressive orange or flaming pink-red to saffron yellow are reminiscent of small fireballs, the glamorous anthurium captivates with differently colored bracts and curious ears that boldly crown the green stem. The third tropical beauty in the group, by the way, has a second name:Also affectionately known as the “bird of paradise flower”, the colorful strelitzia is characterized by a decorative flower comb made up of three outer bracts in bright orange and two to three royal leaves in bright blue. The bird-of-paradise among flowers lives up to its name, especially in warm regions, because not only flower lovers, but also birds cannot avert their gaze from its colorful beauty and like to use the sepal as a comfortable landing spot.
