While we are renovating, we come up with new ideas every time, including for our modern kitchen. With the projects in my head I am always three steps ahead of our life situation, you know that? That you haven't finished one yet and have the other already stuck in your head? Fortunately, our projects show that you can make something out of 'nothing' very well and that it does not always have to cost a lot of money. This also applies to our existing kitchen, which we would like to transform into a modern and sleek kitchen.
We had a completely new kitchen installed in our previous house. A modern, sleek and industrial kitchen from Grando. Super cool, of course, a new kitchen. But the kitchen in our current house is actually quite okay. It is an oak kitchen that has been completely pimped and now has the looks of a modern kitchen. Thanks to a few extra adjustments and upgrades, we now have the kitchen (almost) completely to your liking.
In fact, one of our friends recently asked whether we also had a new kitchen installed during the renovation. That's a nice compliment! A lot has changed now, but we no longer had the money for a new kitchen. But with a number of must-haves, we have managed to turn it into a beautiful, more modern kitchen.
You create the atmosphere of a modern kitchen by working with modern colors and materials. Think of black, white, but also a green or taupe kitchen is very modern these days. Combine that with a granite or composite countertop and you will soon have a modern look in your kitchen. Also brushed stainless steel fits perfectly. Furthermore, such a kitchen is reasonably minimalist (but does not necessarily have to be Scandinavian) and neatly finished. You don't see round corners in this kitchen.
As you can see above, you can have a modern kitchen in all kinds of color combinations to elect. You also often see a kitchen island back. Unfortunately, we can't enjoy that in our kitchen yet. I still have it in my head, but then an extension will have to be realized first;).
Many kitchens have their modern look because, for example, they are handleless to be. That will look very neat very quickly. But even a kitchen with handles can still have a modern look. So do not immediately think that this is a hard requirement. It is true that there is a tight line game between the cabinet doors and the drawers.
If you combine a modern and sleek kitchen with wood, the atmosphere of your kitchen will immediately become a bit warmer. Which by the way does not mean that you immediately have a country kitchen, as many people say. A real country kitchen does have more external features than the use of wood. Look here for even more kitchen inspiration.
In terms of equipment, you often see new techniques and in any case 'gadgets' that make life easier. Think, for example, of a boiling water tap such as the Quooker Flex that we have ourselves. An induction hob and a good combi oven should also not be missing in the modern kitchen. Or, for example, an integrated extractor hood or sleek built-in extractor hood, which can be operated with remote control. And what do you think of these sleek spots on a rail?
Top off the bill in a modern kitchen, for example, is the use of Google Home to operate part of your equipment. Frank has arranged it here in such a way that we can operate the spots and also the extractor hood to give the command via Google Home. I have my hands free to cut the rest of the vegetables while, haha. Oh yes, and then I have one more gadget that I don't want to withhold from you:the Horl, an ideal knife sharpener.
