As I left to completely renovate my kitchen, why not make this room a place that is both modern and functional? And to achieve this, I decided to opt for an equipped kitchen.
Passionate about French and Italian gastronomy, I am always willing when it comes to simmering good meals for my family, relatives and friends. Therefore, the kitchen for me is not only the room where we prepare and cook meals. It's a creative workshop where I develop my new recipes.
So as soon as it was a question of redeveloping the premises, I jumped at the chance to renovate my kitchen furniture but also my old household appliances. Not having the skills of a professional decorator, I chose the easiest and fastest solution, which is the fitted kitchen.
What are the advantages of this type of installation? First, saving time in its implementation. Indeed, apart from the furniture and storage systems, the kitchen comes with the basic household appliances that are:the stove, the fridge and the dishwasher. Subsequently, it is the kitchen designer who takes care of all the connections necessary for the operation of kitchen equipment such as water, electricity or gas. In short, a turnkey kitchen and therefore immediately ready for use.
The other reason that led me to opt for this installation is the possibility of installing a tailor-made kitchen in harmony with my requirements. Indeed, this idea came to me when visiting yet another store, I had still not found the style that best matched my expectations. As I have always had a soft spot for wood, some combinations of materials did not suit me.
A colleague at work advised me to contact a Cuisines Schmidt dealer. The person concerned would have done wonders at his sister-in-law. I make an appointment with the professional and very quickly we set up the layout and configuration of my new kitchen, of course taking into account the budget that I could allocate to the project.
But my greatest satisfaction is that the kitchen designer is above all a cabinetmaker. Working with wood is therefore not a problem for him. Worktop, cabinet for refrigerator and oven, furniture for pots, top cover… Everything will be in solid wood, more precisely in beech. This species was particularly recommended to me for its solidity and ease of maintenance.
Finally, if I preferred the equipped kitchen, it is to enjoy great freedom in the choice of my household appliances, because in my opinion a functional and modern kitchen must be equipped with top-of-the-range equipment. Here again, the services of the artisan kitchen designer were of great help to me.
Indeed, as the purchase of household appliances goes through the latter, I quite simply benefited from the price discounts granted to this professional. So for the refrigerator, I chose the combined model for the storage capacity of its freezer.
For cooking, I favored the stove since I use the oven a lot. A choice all the more judicious since my kitchen could not accommodate both an oven and a hob. For good reason, I also wanted to invest in a small service wine cellar and thus have a bottle of vintage wine at the right temperature at any time of the day.
Otherwise for the dishwasher, I chose a built-in with a capacity of 10 place settings. And of course, I only bought appliances with the A+ and A++ energy label for their low electricity consumption.
