Combine side tables in your living room

I like to change a lot in my interior and one of the most useful elements with which you can do that is your side tables in the living room. By grouping several side tables you suddenly get a completely different look and I like that. In addition, it varies very easily because side tables are smaller than a regular coffee table. You can place several together, but you can also pull them apart again and place them in other places in your living room.

Tips for combining-side-tables-in-your-living-room

If you would like a playful and cozy whole, try putting some different side tables together. So do not choose 3 of the same side tables that you put together, but rather different ones. Play with different materials such as marble look, different heights and even with different shapes if you want. This allows you to create a unique interior that reflects your style. And are you tired of it? Then you can come up with a different arrangement for your side tables.

For example, in our previous house we had a number of different side tables together as a coffee table in the living room. That worked perfectly. The only problem is that you can't easily play a game on it. Whether or not to set up a large serving board, that won't work either. But there is plenty of room for glasses and bowls with something tasty. And the biggest advantage? You have much more room to move.

The trick is that you then partially place the tables on top of each other, where possible. This makes the layout playful and ensures that you have more room to move.

New side-tables in the collection

Even though I currently have a long coffee table in our new house, we still have side tables. Recently I bought the black side table above at Westwingnow. I really fell in love with this design side table right away. We still have the side tables that we used to have. The side table with glass and steel is currently used in the chill area, the table with white top and wooden legs is in the guest room and the square wooden table is outside under the canopy. So you can see that all these side tables simply have an excellent function. In fact, I find side tables indispensable not only in the living room, but also in other rooms.

In addition to being very practical for quickly placing a glass (especially in those places where you don't have a coffee table at hand), they also add atmosphere to your interior. Put a nice plant on it, or put a stack of leaves on it and you have created a setting from the home magazines. Check out the examples below.

Combine sleek and tough, for example with bohemian and rural

As I mentioned above, the combination of side tables in the living room as a coffee table only really becomes fun when you start working with different materials. Think, for example, of steel and wood combined. With glass if needed. Industrial and rural style go very well together. Just think of the current trend, the eclectic style. You don't have to think that it won't match, because if the side tables also match separately in your interior, they can also be placed together. It is extra beautiful - and it gives a 'soft' feeling - if you add an ottoman. This could be, for example, a knitted pouf. Or an ottoman of ordinary leather or goatskin or something similar.

Tip:If you also want to use the pouf as a side table, put a tray on it. This makes the top hard and you can put something on it more easily without it falling off.

You can also combine side-tables elsewhere in the room

Combining small tables with each other is of course not only possible if you are going to use them as a coffee table. Do you have an empty corner somewhere in your room? It is often more fun to combine several tables. Or add a pouf. By combining you make it more of a whole.

Tip:If you put a cloth under your side tables, it is even better to ensure that it forms a whole!

I can think of only one real disadvantage of putting several side tables in the living room together. The legs of the small tables are often close together and sometimes even mixed up. That makes vacuuming in that area a bit more difficult, so keep that in mind.
