Do you usually dry your laundry outside?
And do you have a vegetable garden or a garden?
Why not drain your wet laundry above your vegetable patch?
You could save water and electricity.
Just hang a washing line above your vegetable patch:
1. Hang a washing line over your vegetable patch.
2. Run a machine but WITHOUT programming a spin cycle.
3. Once the machine is finished, carry your wet clothes in a basin to the washing line.
4. Hang your clothes on the washing line.
5. Let the clothes drip over your vegetable garden until they are dry.
6. No need to water your vegetable garden. You can use this trick all summer long.
There you go, you've drained your clothes and watered your vegetable patch at the same time :-)
It works great for tomato plants, basil or any other plant that needs water.
If you don't have a washing line, you can find one here.
In addition to saving washing time, you also save electricity and a lot of water.
I learned this trick from a friend who lives in Nepal and always hangs his wet laundry over his garden.
This clever irrigation system allows him to save a lot of money when the weather is nice.
