The share of energy expenditure is increasingly important in our budgets.
There are a few simple and effective ways to lighten our bills a little.
For example, I use energy-saving light bulbs.
For my small Parisian apartment, it's been some time since I replaced the half bulbs with low consumption bulbs.
Now my electricity bill is down!
These bulbs last longer and consume much less electricity than a conventional bulb, while having the same light intensity.
They cost a little more expensive than normal bulbs (but their prices are starting to drop:example 40 W bulb Amazon link), and consume about 4 to 5 times less of energy.
On the other hand, be aware that it is preferable to use them only in certain rooms .
Energy-saving light bulbs get damaged when turned on and off too often the light. They are therefore not recommended for high traffic areas, such as the hallway or the entrance.
You should also know that they take a lot more time to illuminate intensely.
The lighting being very weak the first few minutes, it is better to use them for rooms where you stay relatively long , such as the living room, the kitchen, or even the office.
To further reduce your electricity consumption, you also have the choice of low consumption LED bulbs which are on average 5 to 6 times less greedy (some 10 times) than a conventional bulb, and have a lifespan of up to 100 years.
These are the most economical bulbs .
