A tip for those like me who still use a classic mixer tap at home, is to replace it with a mixer tap , more convenient and more economical.
Here's why.
In my old apartment, it's very simple, all my taps are simple mixer taps.
Well every time I use my faucet, I have to spend time adjusting the water temperature , by adjusting the flow rate of hot and cold water. During this time, the water is flowing and my hot water tank is emptying...
Of course, I have to do this manipulation every time even if the previous time, I had found an adequate temperature...
So I chose to invest in a mixer tap which makes it easy to adjust both the flow rate and the desired temperature by mixing cold and hot water. I found one on the web for 40 euros.

Install a mixer tap at home is a smart and simple way to save both water and the energy needed to heat hot water. For even more savings, there are more sophisticated faucets, thermostatic mixers.
Certainly they are more expensive to buy but they are also more economical in the long term and offer better comfort of use than a mixer tap . Another home water saving trick that I have installed in my house is the water aerator on the faucet. Really very practical. I recommend it too.
