Don't worry, it's super easy and effective! And it only takes a few seconds to do it yourself.
I've been using this secret recipe given to me by my grandmother for years. It is 100% natural and economical.

- 2 tablespoons of soda crystals
- 2 tablespoons of Marseille soap shavings
- 2 tablespoons of citric acid
- 1 tablespoon of sodium percarbonate
- Mint essential oil (optional)
- 1 closed jar
1. Pour all the ingredients into the jar.
2. Mix it all up.
3. Pour a tablespoon into the dishwasher compartment.
4. Add 2 or 3 drops of mint essential oil (optional).
And there you have it, you have made your homemade dishwasher powder :-)
Simple, fast and efficient, right?

Not only do you save money, but this DIY recipe is also zero waste.
Remember to close the container in which you put your powder.
Why ? Because if you leave it in the open air, there will be an emulsion and you will not be able to use it anymore.
No need to do a lot of dishwasher powder at once, as it tends to harden.
It is better to do it gradually. As you've seen, it's super quick and easy to do!
- Are your dishes very dirty? Add a tablespoon of baking soda to dissolve dirt and grease. Bicarbonate loosens, cleans and sanitizes. It is also a very effective degreaser.
- For shiny glasses without white marks, pour white vinegar into the rinse aid compartment.
Marseille soap has been a recognized cleaner and degreaser for generations.
Citric acid is a powerful anti-limestone and antioxidant.
Soda crystals degrease and eliminate bad odors.
Percarbonate is an excellent stain remover:it dissolves stains without difficulty.
And all of these natural ingredients are totally biodegradable. As a result, your homemade powder is effective and ecological.
