Your brushes hardened after painting?
It's normal if you let them dry with paint on them!
The bristles are now hard as concrete... Hello galley!
But don't bother throwing them away even if they're completely dry.
Luckily, there's a magic trick to getting a paint-hardened brush back and making it soft quickly.
The trick is to soak it in warm white vinegar and rinse it with soapy water . Watch:
- 250 ml white vinegar
- vegetable soap (type Marseille soap )
- pan
- water
1. Fill a glass with white vinegar.
2. Empty this glass of white vinegar into a saucepan.
3. Put the pan on to heat.
4. Remove the white vinegar from the heat when it is hot but not boiling.
5. Soak your brushes in the warm white vinegar.
6. Leave on for at least an hour or even overnight if needed.
7. Wash in warm soapy water and rinse.
And There you go ! Thanks to the white vinegar, you have softened your brushes which were all hard :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
You don't even need to buy a brand new brush!
You can reuse your brush as if nothing had happened.
This tip works for all brushes with synthetic bristles.
Whether they are brushes for work, painting or even makeup .
White vinegar dissolves paint even if it is embedded between the bristles of the brush.
As the vegetable oil soap is very greasy, it makes it possible to slide the remains of paint on the hairs to remove them permanently.
With hot water, it amplifies this action.
If the paint still isn't gone and your brush is still hard, try one last drastic option.
Heat the white vinegar in a saucepan. Then, dip the brushes in and let it boil for 10 min.
Then rinse the brushes with soapy water and dry.
There is a risk that this slightly damages the bristles of the brush, but the result is there!
