Turn your kids' favorite food into a Halloween costume.
Turn the basket upside down and cut off the bottom and any extra spokes. Have your child get into the basket to make sure he fits comfortably around your waist.
Paint two pieces of construction paper with blue paint for the container. Paint the third sign yellow for the macaroons. Paint the rim of the basket in the same shade of blue. Let everything dry for at least an hour.
Measure the height of the basket from the base to just below the rim, and then cut the two blue banners to that size.
Attach the two pieces of cardstock together using a stapler. Then wrap them around the basket drum and secure with clear packing tape.
Be sure to position the card stock to fit the shape of the basket. Add extra tape to the inside if needed. You can paint or adhere your favorite mac 'n' cheese brand logo or leave the container blank like we did.
For the pasta, cut the yellow construction paper lengthwise into long strips, then cut into 5-inch squares. Roll each square into a tube and staple the ends together to hold the shape.
When you've made enough pasta, create a workspace with a glue gun, the basket, and the t-shirt. Glue the pasta tubes to the shirt and to the basket.
After all the paste is glued together, create shoulder straps by looping ribbon or string through the punched slots on two opposite sides of the basket. Put yourself in the basket first and then the shirt. Pull the shirt down to cover the edge of the basket.
