Snow ice cream is a real treat and a great way to make the most of the snow this winter. Once your kids are done cheering for their snow day, recruit them to collect fresh, clean snow to make a delicious winter treat.

Combine milk, white sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. If using sweetened condensed milk, omit the white sugar. Store outside or in the freezer.

Collect 10 fresh snowballs. Choose clean snow that has not been blown or dripped. (Avoid snow under the gutter, pet areas, or near the road or driveway) While outside (and work fast), mix the mix and snow together with a large spoon. The mixture should not be as smooth as a slushie, but should be denser than the outside snow.

Back inside, spoon the snow ice into individual bowls or shape the snow into large snowballs for cones, and toss in a bowl filled with sprinkles until coated. Serve immediately.
