Install the small cube-shaped brackets on the inside corners of the window. One of the two open sides faces outwards and the other towards the center (Image 1).
The blind unit fits into the brackets with the cords facing the room (Image 2).
Attach the shade to the bracket with small plastic pieces that slide into the brackets.
Attach the long plastic rod to the shade controller as directed in the manufacturer's instructions. The wand is used to open and close the blind slats.

The process of shortening blinds is easy if you follow the instructions and diagrams that come with the blinds. Position the blinds as far apart as possible so that the bottom rests on the window sill to determine the proper length.
Remove the plastic retaining tabs on the bottom piece to adjust the length (Image 1).
Next, slide on the larger bottom piece and cut the strings to the proper length.
Remove any remaining slats and discard (Image 2).
Replace the bottom piece on the last rung (Image 3).
The ends of the ropes are tied and pushed into holes under the bottom rung.
