Window screens are really handy.
But cleaning them is tricky.
Most of them are fragile. And you can't rub too much on the fabric or the frame.
Before replacing your window screens for the next season, try refreshing them with a simple solution:white vinegar.
- 2 old towels
- 2 empty spray cans
- White vinegar
- A soft brush or sponge
1. Fill one of the two sprays halfway with water.
2. Top up with white vinegar.
3. Remove the mosquito net from the window.
4. Gently vacuum each side of the screen. Or wipe both sides with a microfiber cloth.
5. Lay the screen flat on a towel.
6. Spray generously with white vinegar.
7. Scrub gently with the brush or sponge.
8. Flip the window and try the operation again.
9. Fill the 2nd spray with water.
10. Spray the mosquito net with water on both sides.
11 . Wipe gently with a soft towel.
12. Reinstall your mosquito net on the window, even if it is still a little damp.
There you go, you have cleaned the mosquito net of your window easily :-)
If any dirt remains, you can repeat this cleaning several times.
If the mosquito nets are very dirty, add biodegradable dishwashing liquid in the 1st spray to increase the effectiveness of the product.
