I like the scandinavian style. Our living room is also getting a Scandinavian look and I try to apply the Nordic style where I can. Even though I did mix this style with an industrial touch, because I like that too. But it doesn't have to stop here, of course. Are you also a huge Nordic fan, then you can also apply the Scandinavian style in the nursery. And such a children's room can then look very cozy, that's no problem at all. I am happy to show you how you can apply this style in different areas.

In the image above you can clearly see the style of a children's room that is decorated in a Scandinavian way. Work with white, black, gray and natural tones and you will soon be decorating in a Nordic style. Keep in mind that you only use black in the details and that this shade does not become too dominant. For example, you can choose wooden blinds in the color black, or work with black accessories. Or working with steel somewhere in the nursery. However, make sure that the light dominates. It is also fun to work with wall stickers.
It is a very good idea to work with different materials. Especially if you opt for a lot of light colors and natural tones, it works particularly well to implement the furnishing in materials such as fabric, wood, jute and, for example, wool. You can also see many of those materials above. It creates a harmonious whole and a calm atmosphere that you can enjoy here and there with some toys in a color.
You can also choose to use pastel shades in the nursery to create a Scandinavian style instead of a little black. Gray also always fits in this mix for a Northern atmosphere. So feel free to play with soft colors if you want, as long as you let the shades come back in several objects, the unity will still exist. For example, think of the pastel shades of powder pink, soft yellow and mint.
Although you can still go quite a few ways in terms of colors in the Nordic style, you are 'bound' to tighter shapes in a Scandinavian style. Of course you determine it all yourself, of course, but the Norwegian style is characterized by this. In addition, sleek shapes bring tranquility, and that is often the goal of a children's room with a Scandinavian tint.
As I mentioned above, a Nordic style in the nursery is a calming style. Do not stuff a room too full with accessories and make sure, for example, that you keep the peace and openness with openwork accessories such as the lampshade above. And what do you think of these fantastic eyes on the wall, for example? It gives a little extra to the white wall without it immediately becoming too busy. Absolutely great!
One of the things that I have always found very important in the nursery is the light. And the convenience of the window decoration in a children's room to play with that light. Because it is of course very nice if the room is light, but you also want to darken it when you go to sleep. If you are going for a Scandinavian style in the nursery, then you have quite a bit of choice in window decoration. From blinds to duets and from regular curtains to roller blinds, for example. Everything has its pros and cons, but every form of window decoration is available in different color palettes that are ideal for the Scandinavian-style children's room.
