The industrial design is perhaps something that many people have had to get used to. We have also taken quite a different direction when it comes to interior design. In the old days, in grandmother's time, it was undoubtedly seen as slightly shabby if you hung an old factory lamp above the dining table.
Not less true, of course… There is nothing shabby about an industrial interior. And it certainly doesn't have to be cold or uncomfortable. Moreover, you can still nicely combine with different materials. Think of steel, or wood or rope for example, which fits perfectly within this look. Do we really no longer need to convince you of the beauty of industrial design? But are you curious about beautiful light sources that match your interior? Then view the industrial lamps below.
Did you know that many industrial lamps come from factories in Russia? But they don't look out of place in the average Dutch household! These industrial lamps also fit very nicely with a Scandinavian design or minimalist interior. And you immediately bring a real eye-catcher into your home. So you can opt for really old, but also for industrial with a new look, such as the lamp you see in the photo below.
I just found the above industrial hanging lamp online, but I'm going to try to 'make' it myself. We have a similar model in stainless steel (also industrial of course) that I want to treat with concrete ciré.
Are you still looking for a lamp for above the dining or coffee table? Then take a look at industrial pendant lights. You will find them in all shapes and sizes.
With the industrial hanging lamp above you can clearly see what is so typical of the industrial look. A robust appearance, which is created by the use of "tough" materials. Cast iron, aluminum, zinc and steel are widely used. Wood provides a 'softer touch', but can also still fit very well with industrial.
Looking for a standing light source instead of a hanging lamp? Then you can indulge yourself if you are a fan of the industrial look. After all, industrial lamps come in all shapes and sizes. For example, Joyce has a type of old factory lamp in the house (but new out of the box). Do you like a robust look and a lamp that is a real eye-catcher? Then the copies below will certainly appeal to you.
Take a look at the above model. Also very beautiful in a minimalist or sleek interior. But a typical industrial lamp! It combines very nicely in an interior that already contains more dark metals. But, as you can see, also very nice with leather or wood. The tripod stand is often used in industrial lamps. Is the whole thing a bit too robust for you and would you rather go for something nicer? Then the following example might be more your style.
The model above is a bit more subtle. Ideal if you like industrial lamps, but you prefer not to have them too coarse. This example also fits very nicely in an industrial interior. A floor lamp industrial can therefore also be a bit nicer. Which of the above lamps do you think is 'the best'?
