Since we moved, I regularly get this question about our warehouse at home. He follows the cry:"Geez! You have a lot of space here." ‘What are you going to use all that for dude?’ Well I can tell you…I have no idea.
For the time being, the shed is our salvation when it comes to all kinds of stuff. The strange thing is, we have moved to a much bigger place, but if we hadn't had the shed you would almost think we couldn't have taken all our stuff with us 😉 . Of course that's not really the case. The fact is that the shed is not so neatly furnished. In all haste, things got messed up during the move. And secretly a lot fits in it, in a warehouse of 12×6 meters!

I will briefly list what you can find in the shed at our house, for the curious among you 😉 :
I think everyone understands that the warehouse has an enormous advantage. You can put (a lot of) stuff in it. Super handy. But for 2 chaotic people, one of whom is quite bothered by 'saving nice things for the house' and the other has a kind of separation anxiety that makes him even keep old textbooks from 25 years ago…. there is also a major drawback. You can store a lot of stuff in such a shed near your house 😉 .
Just looking at the number of bikes we have. Since we also have an electric ladies bike, there are 6 in the shed here, and there are only four of us.
There has to be some sort of order in the chaos. Despite the fact that there are a number of elements in our warehouse that we know will go into the house, I think it is important that we devise some kind of system. A system with which we keep things a bit tidy. Creating order out of chaos.
After all, it would be handy if there could also be a workbench in it so that Frank can also do odd jobs when he feels like it. And if you want something from the back of the shed, I don't want to break my neck, of course. We used to have a number of racks in our garden house. Handy in itself, but not easy to move. With a view to future changes in the 'interior' of the warehouse, I think it would be useful if you can move things quickly to free up extra space.
Such as the scaffolding that we have made ourselves from scaffolding tubes and planks. We put them on large wheels to make them easy to move.
I think the biggest issue for the mess in the warehouse at the moment is that we are busy in all kinds of places in our house at the same time. Working on the floor in the office, the hall that still needs to be done and the bathroom for which we are working out ideas. While we haven't even unpacked all the boxes from the move yet. Or simply simply reducing consumption might also be a solution. Saying goodbye to things we don't really need. But that is quite difficult for a separation anxiety type and a -I want so badly to be able to change in my interior- person.
Finally, we are playing with a great plan for our warehouse in the future. Because a large roof is attached to the shed, and we like to make a bar under it, we came up with a new project. We are going to use part of the shed as an indoor bar. To do this, we are going to break through a wall of 4 meters wide from under the roof and build in the shed for 2 meters. We will soon miss that space in the shed, but under the roof we will gain 2×4 meters to build in a bar with an outdoor kitchen.
Plan enough! Now only the implementation of it 😉 .
