I love costume jewelry, I have a whole collection of them. But when they darken, I leave them in the cupboard.
Today, I finally found the solution to find them like new.
Since it costs next to nothing, I can't expect my costume jewelry to be of high quality either.
I recognize that they darken quickly and leave a greenish trace on the skin. Not all that glamorous...
But I finally found THE solution to deoxidize them. Watch:
To recover the initial appearance of costume jewelry that has left greenish marks on the skin, there's nothing like lemon juice for effective cleaning .
Its acidity strips everything.
Simply polish your oxidized jewelry with lemon juice, rubbing well and thoroughly to clean them thoroughly.
I just take a piece of cloth that I soak in lemon juice and rub .
Once your fancy jewelry has been thoroughly cleaned, the ideal is to put a coat of transparent varnish on the parts of the jewelry that are in contact with the skin.
In this way, we prevent jewelry such as earrings from turning black again.
And that's it, your jewelry is beautiful again :-)
Simple, practical and effective!
It works very well for cleaning oxidized toc jewelry or your Biche de Bere jewelry.
No need to throw them away, they'll still work wonders with your pretty floral dress.
