Despite the glorious weather we have this week, I don't forget that Lady weather forecast us a summer... wet!
So I'm going to share with you my 5 tips from Normandy living in the countryside, to keep your house presentable, even in heavy rain.
After surviving the downpours and muddy puddles scattered across your path, you can't get home without getting it all dirty.
The first step will be to use a doormat brush which will take care of removing most of the dirt stuck to your shoes and boots. To use it, nothing could be simpler, you insert your foot between the side brushes of the doormat and move back and forth to clean the sides and bottom of your soles.
It is an outdoor, mobile utensil that you will leave in the most suitable place. Preferably in front of your front door.
The second step will consist of using this natural rubber toe scraper to remove the small residues that still remain stuck to your soles. I strongly advise you to use it only as a second step after the doormat brush, otherwise you will soon have a completely muddy front door.
Not only is it very practical, but it is also pretty! Its shape is reminiscent of those made of ironwork, but this one won't stain your porch, and it is almost indestructible.
Once at home, a good absorbent dirt-repellent mat is essential. Time to undress and put your jackets and jackets on the coat rack, you continue to trample and put them everywhere!
It is therefore better to protect its interior entrance, you will avoid systematic cleaning for each visitor.
To avoid puddles and traces everywhere, you will put your shoes and boots in a dish rack. Variable in size, it's the detail that changes EVERYTHING!
Waterproof, it makes it possible to remove dirty and dripping soles. The drip tray is covered with streaks, which allow it to dry faster. You will find simple ones (for a pair) or some that will accommodate several.
If you want to do it yourself:trays, pebbles, and voila! Here you are with your homemade drainer.
A great classic that remains essential, especially if, like me, you live in a very rainy region!
But not just any, you will look for one with a drip tray, which will avoid flooding your floor.
Phew! You have returned home, and thanks to my little tricks, your entrance and the rest of the house will not have to undergo a major cleaning, despite the rain which continues to fall.
Do you know all these utensils? Maybe you use others? Come and tell us everything in the comments.
