House dust mites are responsible for many allergic reactions. Its dirty little critters feed on the microscopic skin residue we shed daily.
There are natural solutions to get rid of it that cost next to nothing.
Dust mites like temperate temperatures and lodge in our sheets, duvets and mattresses. To avoid allergic attacks here are some solutions.
Every morning, we can take out our sheets, duvets and company to air them. In addition to giving them a certain freshness, this will lower their temperature. You have to have time to let them cool down.
By lowering the temperature below 15°C for more than 10 minutes, all the dust mites will give up the ghost. They do not support the cool morning temperatures. You can operate in the same way for your mattresses.
If you don't have a garden, it becomes quite difficult, I agree.
That's why I looked for another solution that requires less logistical organization to get rid of these parasites.
Ingredients &equipment: a large handful of rhubarb leaves, 1/2 l of water. A pschit.
In a basin, macerate the rhubarb leaves in 1/2 l of water for 3 days. Filter after these 3 days and pour into the pschit.
Use:s On the bare mattress, spray the front side evenly. Let dry and vacuum. Repeat the same operation on the back.
It is important not to wet your bedding too much with your vaporizer, otherwise you will not be able to sleep on it and especially the macerations generally do not smell very good.
Finally (and if the smell really bothers you), you can spray your bed with a mixture made from 1/2 l of water mixed with 5 drops of lavender essential oil.
Lavender has a soothing smell that makes it easier to fall asleep and acts as a flea repellent. A good idea to reproduce if you have animals at home.
These natural solutions really get rid of dust mites, without adding chemicals or buying a specific vacuum cleaner.
More than economical, these two solutions are free . Enjoying the morning freshness and using the rhubarb leaves that we usually throw away won't cost you any extra dollars. A good opportunity to make a delicious rhubarb pie to taste it.
