How about a prize pool of almost 700 euros?
Could be fun for a family project, right?
It must be said that it motivates you to challenge yourself to save a nice pot.
For us, it allowed us to have a great family weekend of 4 at Puy du Fou!
But of course, you can use this money as you see fit.
So I invite you to take the cents challenge! The goal is to save pennies for 365 days.
After one year, you will have saved 667.95 euros ! Not bad, isn't it? So how does it work ? It's very easy!
On the 1st day, you save 1 cent. The 2nd day, 2 cents. On the 50th day, you set aside 50 cents and so on. Watch:
1. Print the image here.
2. Stick it on your piggy bank.
3. Put 1 cent on the first day in the piggy bank.
4. Add 2 cents on the second day.
5. Add 3 cents on the third day.
6. And so on for a year.
7. On the last day of the challenge, add €3.65 to the piggy bank.
There you go, thanks to the cents challenge, you saved €667.95 in just 1 year :-)
Can't believe you'll be able to save almost €700 just with pennies?
But it's mathematical:every day, you put 1 cent more than the day before in the piggy bank. As a result, you increase the prize pool by the same amount!
Look at the tables below to see the full calculations and better understand the gains at the end of the year.
Once the challenge is over, you will be able to carry out a great family project:a great weekend, a visit to an amusement park, a trip to the funfair...
And you, what are you going to do with this money?

To help you complete this challenge, print this table and put the amount indicated in the piggy bank.
Don't forget to check the box every day to know where you are!

If you don't feel like doing the challenge every day, you can also do it every week.
Just follow this pennies a week challenge template.
Obviously, the sums are larger, because you do it weekly instead of daily.
But we also arrive at the same amount at the end.
- To make it even more fun, take up this challenge with the children! They'll love putting pennies in the piggy bank every day and watching the coins add up as they go. Plus, it teaches them patience and perseverance to get a nice prize pool at the end!
- If you take up the challenge with your children, you don't have to put in a 50 cent coin on the 50th day. Ask your children what other coins they can use to make 50 cents:two quarters and one dime, 5 dimes, etc. Makes a great math activity for kids.
- You can start this challenge any day of the year. Even if it's not January 1st!
- If it's hard to save a little money every day, do it every other day or skip a week.
- I used colored washi tape to attach it to our savings jar, but you can use plain Scotch.
