If like me you prepare your coffee in a coffee maker with a filter, my grandma -mom and I have an easy trick to saving all year round.
Simply replace the disposable paper filters with a permanent plastic filter.
It's easy and it works!
I found my plastic filter in a Foir'Fouille type discount store, it cost me €1.70 , which is a little cheaper than a box of 80 disposable filters (around €2 ).
For a person using their coffee maker every day (approximately 5 boxes of 80 filters), the saving over the year is approximately €10 , which is certainly not huge but there are no small savings!
But I also gain in peace of mind , because it's one less thing to think about when shopping, and, in addition, I have the satisfaction of polluting less.
I wash my filter with Marseille soap, white vinegar, and from time to time a blow of bleach and rinse it well with water.
