Very Dirty Fryer? The Tip To Thoroughly Clean It WITHOUT Effort.

1. Unplug the fryer and allow it to cool completely.

2. Strain the frying oil into a container, discarding the food residue.

3. Discard the oil if it is cloudy, smells rancid, is very dark, or covered in foam. Otherwise, save it for future use.

4. Soak the metal basket in hot soapy water, adding 100 ml of white vinegar.

5. Use the brush and scraper to remove as much residue as possible inside the fryer. Don't forget to scrape the corners well too.

6. Use paper towels to soak up excess oil and wipe away messes.

This is where my little secret comes in...

7. Fill the fryer with water to the maximum oil line and add a few drops of washing up liquid.

8. Turn on the fryer and let it boil:heat is indeed the best way to clean a fryer!

9. Let the water boil for several minutes, unplug the unit and allow to cool.

10. Drain the water with the strainer to filter out food and oil residue.

11. Carefully wipe the inside of the fryer with the sponge.

12. Dip the soft-bristled brush in warm, soapy water.

13. Rub the walls with it to remove the remaining oil.

14. Apply a paste of baking soda and water. Rub the walls again and everything becomes nickel.

15. Thoroughly rinse the fryer with clear water and dry it with absorbent paper or cloth.

16. Rinse the frying basket and put it back in the appliance.

How often to clean a fryer?

Very Dirty Fryer? The Tip To Thoroughly Clean It WITHOUT Effort.

- In case of occasional use of your domestic fryer:

Apply the above steps each time you use the fryer.

This allows it to be clean when you put it away and clean for the next use.

- In case of frequent use of your fryer (every day/every 2 days):

Be satisfied with a complete cleaning between two uses.

On the other hand, do a deep cleaning every week by following the steps seen above.

Just be sure to check for signs of rancid oil or an unpleasant odor.

- When used in a professional environment:

A busy establishment should perform a light fryer cleaning every day.

Deep cleaning should be done twice a week.

Whether for home or professional use, cleaning the device is important.

This helps your fryer stay performing longer and delay obsolescence.

Good practices

Very Dirty Fryer? The Tip To Thoroughly Clean It WITHOUT Effort.

- Keep oil at an appropriate temperature and never leave your fryer unattended.

- Always have a box of baking soda nearby to put out a fire in case of an emergency.

- Do not overload the fryer. This lowers the temperature and therefore makes the food too greasy.

- Choose an oil with high heat resistance such as peanut, canola or safflower oil.

- Record how often you use the oil and change it as needed.

- Make sure your food is dry before placing it in the fryer.

Any presence of water can cause oil splashes .
