Today I show you how I cleaned my stained mattress and yellowed in 10 minutes flat.
How is that possible?
I finally found a 100% natural cleanser that completely removes all stains!
It avoids having to resort to bleach. And the mattress is like new!
If you want to find a pristine white mattress, this grandmother's trick to clean it is just incredible.
Here is my natural and effective recipe for homemade mattress cleaner . Watch:
Contents
- 1 spray bottle of 500 ml
- transparent and natural dishwashing liquid (no added dye)
- baking soda
- 3% hydrogen peroxide
- clean cloth
Fill the spray with water. And add a teaspoon of washing up liquid.
Mix and spray the entire mattress.
It is very important to thoroughly moisten the entire surface of the mattress.
With your hand, check that there is not a single dry spot left.
You will probably need to refill your spray to moisten the entire mattress.
We have to go fast! Don't wait for the mattress to dry. To proceed to the next step, the mattress must still be damp.
Fill the spray half with water and half with hydrogen peroxide.
Again, mix well.
And spray your homemade stain remover all over the mattress.
Pay particular attention to stained areas.
When the mattress is damp, evenly sprinkle the entire surface with baking soda.
You will easily need 2-3 cups of baking soda for a large mattress.
Use a clean cloth to spread the baking soda.
You should have a thin layer of paste on the surface of the mattress.
The whole process takes less than 10 minutes.
By spreading the baking soda, you will already see the stains on the mattress clear up!
As there is a chemical reaction going on, proceed quickly and keep the windows open.
Leave the room and let the baking soda dry overnight.
The next day, you will find a sparkling clean mattress!
Remove the dried baking soda from the surface of the mattress.
All you have to do is enjoy your mattress which is like new.
For easy removal, vacuum the surface of the mattress
Do not worry ! It is normal for some baking soda to remain on the mattress.
There you go, your stained and yellowed mattress is now perfectly clean :-)
Easy, convenient and effective, right?
No more halos and brown or yellow stains on your white mattress! Not even a small stubborn stain remains.
The good news?
In addition, the mattress is completely deodorized thanks to the bicarbonate.
Now don't forget to put on a good quality mattress protector!
I insist on a precaution to be taken.
Clean your mattress in a ventilated area!
Personally, I dropped the mattress on the floor.
And wow, beautiful mud stains on the mattress.
At first I made two attempts to remove the stains. And it was a disaster!
The more I tried to clean the stains, the worse the situation got.
I was completely desperate... I read several tips on how to clean a mattress naturally.
And that's how I found this solution.
And it worked like magic!
Have you seen the pictures? It's still cleaner that way!
I slightly adapted the initial recipe to have a perfect result.
And no need for steam cleaner for deep cleaning!
It's much more economical that way.
At first, that's what I did. The first day I used soap to clean only the few dirt spots.
I ended up having large halos from water, soap scum and dirt.
On the second day, I followed the advice of some recipes found online
I used soap and baking soda.
But the spots got even bigger.
The solution is to spray the entire surface of the mattress.
There should be no dry patches.
That way, there are no traces or orange halos afterwards.
Bleach is very harsh on fabrics.
In addition, since you cannot completely rinse the mattress with water, there will always be bleach residues in the mattress
And bleach is toxic. It can affect the air quality in your room.
Choose a transparent and natural dishwashing liquid for the dishes.
Yes, some dishwashing liquids are colored and could stain your mattress.
In addition to removing stains from mattresses, this recipe and technique is also effective for removing stains from carpet.
But it is also an excellent stain repellent for cleaning a yoga mat, and certain upholstery fabrics...
It is also effective for removing all kinds of stains, whether old or not:urine, semen or blood stains or for restoring a yellowed mattress.
But also stains encrusted with vomit, cat pee or poo, stools and excrement (diarrhea) on a baby mattress, perspiration, wine, yellow, brown, black or red stains, mold, ketchup, d oil, moisture, fat and grease, ink, rust, wax, grease, coca, chocolate
