The oven trays are the part of the oven that gets dirty the fastest .
An overflowing gratin, a runny cake, cooking a chicken...
And presto, the plates quickly become very dirty and clogged!
Hello, the hassle of removing those baked-on fats and burnt-on dirt...
No need to buy a product to strip the oven like Décap'Four. They are among the most toxic household products!
Luckily, a cook buddy told me his 4 best tips for degreasing and stripping oven trays.
In any case, know that it is best to always clean the plates when they are still hot. It's much easier. Watch:

To take the plate out of the oven, do not wait until it is cold. Clean it while it's still warm. In a small container, mix 1/4 glass of coarse salt and 1/4 glass of white vinegar and water. Using a sponge soaked in the mixture, rub the plate. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse. All you have to do is wipe the dish clean.
Don't wait for the plate to cool! Pour pure black soap on a damp sponge. Rub with the plate and rinse thoroughly with hot water. Dry with a towel and admire the work! If the fats and burnt residues are well encrusted, let the black soap act for 15 minutes or a whole night, it all depends on whether the plate is really very dirty or not.
On the still warm plate, sprinkle baking soda and pass a damp sponge over it. If grease residues are stuck on the plate, pour 3 measures of baking soda into a container and add 1 measure of lukewarm water to obtain a paste. Spread the paste on the plate and let it act overnight. The next day, rinse the plate with a sponge and hot water. The plate is now nickel!
Start by generously sprinkling the still hot baked-on grease stains with baking soda. Put 1 tablespoon of soda ash in a spray and add one and a half glasses of hot water to it. Spray this mixture on the plate. In another spray, put 1 measure of vinegar for 2 measures of water and spray this product on the plate. Wait 1 to 2 hours for your stripper to take effect, then take a vegetable brush and scrub with it. If stubborn stains remain, use a plastic spatula to remove them.
There you go, the oven plates are now spotlessly clean :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
No more burnt fats and other encrusted residues! It's still much cleaner that way!
And your oven won't make bad-smelling smoke the next time you use it.
In addition, these tricks are just as effective for cleaning drip pans or the electric stove.
