In winter temperatures, windshield washer fluid freezes quickly.
In other words, washing your windshield becomes impossible!
Auto stores sell antifreeze windshield washer fluid, but it is often overpriced (between €7 and €9 per container).
Fortunately, there is an easy and inexpensive recipe for making your own antifreeze window cleaner for your car.
The trick is to mix white vinegar, black soap, soda crystals and alcohol at 70°C . Watch:
- 100 ml of white vinegar
- 100 ml of 70% alcohol
- 2 tablespoons of soda crystals
- 1 tablespoon of liquid black soap
- 5 liter container
- water
1. Pour all the ingredients into the container.
2. Fill up with water.
3. Mix well.
4. Pour the mixture into the windshield washer reservoir under the hood of the car.
And There you go ! You have already made your own antifreeze windscreen washer :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
And it is not afraid of low winter temperatures.

Not to mention the fact that it's really cheap compared to a commercial windshield washer.

Black soap washes the windshield without greasing it.
White vinegar and alcohol degrease the glass and prevent the washer fluid from freezing.
And for very dirty windshields, soda crystals get rid of the slightest encrusted dirt.
As a result, you have a nickel-chrome windshield even when it's cold!
