Summer is not far away!
We think it's time to give back some shine by cleaning our terrace, at a lower cost of course.
Here are our tips.

You have chosen a wood designed for outdoor use , class 3 minimum. It's very good, it will resist time and wear better.
But it still needs maintenance . No need to invest in a Kärcher, even with a rotating brush.
Here's how to clean your terrace without Kärcher:a push broom, a water jet and a little elbow grease will be perfect for cleaning your terrace (and saving you money). To be done twice a year.

Then, it is necessary to proceed to a "sobering up" , because the wood grays over time. Don't rush into commercial products. Here is a more economical solution:
- Mix sodium percarbonate (for the dosage count about 30 to 40g / liter) and hot water.
- Apply with a brush.
- Leave on for about 20 min.
- Brush then rinse thoroughly.
Finally, we will restore the original color to the terrace by applying a saturator to the dry wood.
Ecological, it is more expensive than the linseed oil / turpentine mixture often recommended, but much more durable. I do not recommend this mixture of linseed oil, which is very toxic and not very effective.
To remove moss , mold and stains on the slab of your concrete terrace, proceed as follows:
- Mix 2 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate per liter of hot water.
- Scrub the terrace with your push broom.
- Rinse thoroughly.
To find a very clean tiling , scrub it with your push broom and lukewarm water with black soap.
If the joints are dirty, mix:
- a volume of lukewarm water,
- a volume of baking soda,
- optionally, the juice of a lemon.
All you have to do is rub hard to loosen the dirt!
