Once the newspapers have been read, I sometimes use them to decorate furniture or make collages using vinyl glue. They are also useful for protecting objects when moving, the same for the floor when I paint.

I use it for my DIY projects, making shelves for example; they can also be put in the fireplace provided they are not treated with harmful products.
They can be donated to schools or associations who will gladly accept them if they are still in working order.

Old clothes can be donated to charity or sold yourself via a consignment shop, for example.

Egg or cereal boxes can be donated to kindergartens for arts and crafts. The others go in the yellow bins.

I drop them off at the nearest gas station to be recycled or I use them to make a swing, or flower boxes.
